Intern Positions
Volunteer interns with the Arlington Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court:
- Gain real-work experience serving Arlington’s youths, adults and families
- Interact with Court staff, judges, lawyers, schools and social service agencies
Adult Services Intern (4 months/10+ hours per week)
- Maintain social files and contact logs
- Attend court hearings
- Correspond with clients and service providers
- Refer clients to court-ordered treatment programs
- Draft follow-up correspondence (Spanish fluency is a plus)
Juvenile Probation Services Intern (4-6 months/10+ hours per week)
- Attend court hearings and advisory notices
- Maintain social files and contact logs
- Contact service providers
- Correspond with clients and their families (Spanish fluency is a plus)
Mentor/Tutor Intern (4 months/10+ hours per week)
- Develop relationships with court-involved youths
- Provide a positive influence and academic tutoring
Volunteer Positions

Argus House Tutoring/Academic Coordinator (3-4 months/8 hours per week)
- Work with staff and residents during weekday evenings (flexible hours) to address academic issues and achieve academic success
Argus House Volunteer-Student Intern (3-4 months/8 hours per week)
- Support residents with academic issues
- Serve as a mentor and role model for residents
- Provide staff support
- Attend court hearings
- Prepare written reports
- Coordinate the monthly Argus House newsletter
- Perform administrative duties
Argus House Administrative Assistant Volunteer (3-4 months/8 hours per week)
- Answer phone calls
- File documents
- Interact with the public
- Perform data entry
- Drafts documents
