Medicare Classes

Are you turning 65 and newly eligible for Medicare? Do you want to know more about your Medicare benefits?  Do you serve as a caregiver who would like learn about Medicare or are you a federal retiree with questions about enrolling in Medicare benefits? Then join us for a Medicare class.

Medicare classes include, but are not limited to, Medicare Part A (inpatient hospitalization/skilled nursing), Part B (doctors/outpatient hospital services/labs/radiology), Part C (Medicare Advantage plans), and Part D (prescription drugs), as well as Medicare supplemental plans.

Curriculum is developed through the federal SHIP (State Health Insurance and Assistance Program) or in Virginia, VICAP (Virginia Insurance Counseling and Assistance Program). A trained and certified Medicare Counselor will lead this interactive session.

Classes are free. Enrollment is required. Classes are not open to the media. Classes are subject to cancellation due to low enrollment.
