Volunteers & Students

We have volunteer and internship opportunities for individuals interested in working with older adults or persons with disabilities. Select the links below to learn more about these offerings.

  • Volunteer Guardian – Volunteer Guardians are court-appointed volunteers for individuals who can no longer make informed decisions for themselves. Individuals in need of this service have been determined by the Circuit Court to be incapacitated and have no family or friends who are willing or able to be appointed guardian and or conservator.
  • Adult Day Health Care Center – Walter Reed Adult Day Health Care Center needs vibrant volunteers to welcome clients and serve morning beverages and light refreshments during weekly morning staff meetings  or to assist with serving and socializing during lunch.
  • Internships –  We have excellent internship or practicum opportunities for students interested in working with older adults or persons with disabilities.
