CR2 Provides 24-hour rapid response to all youth and individuals across their lifespan facing a mental health and/or substance use crisis. Our highly trained and compassionate counselors provide phone screening and face-to-face assessment, intervention, and support so that you may continue with life as planned. Services are provided by National Counseling Group.

Virginia Regional Education Assessment Crisis Services Habilitation (REACH)

REACH serves children and adults with co-occurring diagnoses of developmental disability and behavioral health needs. We enhance local capacity and provide collaborative, cost-effective support to individuals and their families through:

  • Short-term crisis and transitional housing

Diversion First (Emergency Services)

Referrals can be made by calling 703-228-5160 

Diversion First, under Emergency Services, intervenes at crisis points with children, youth and/or their families to prevent higher levels of care such as hospitalization, court involvement and/or residential placement. They provide skills to support de-escalation and distress tolerance, assess the family’s strengths and needs and identify services for immediate intervention, and collaborate with providers to ensure the most effective services are provided to support stabilization in the community.

Mobile Outreach Support Team (MOST) 

The Mobile Outreach Support Team (MOST) is the latest addition to Arlington County's expanding network of care for people experiencing mental health and substance use issues. The MOST program is coordinated by the Department of Human Services (DHS) in partnership with the Police and Fire Departments and the Emergency Communications Center, which operates the County’s 911 system.
