What We Do
  • Intervene at crisis points with children, youth and/or their families to prevent higher levels of care such as hospitalization, court involvement and/or residential placement
  • Provide skills to support de-escalation and distress tolerance 
  • Assess the family’s strengths and needs and identify services for immediate intervention
  • Collaborate with providers to ensure the most effective services are provided to support stabilization in the community
Whom We Serve

Arlington residents up to age 22 at risk of and/or experiencing:

  • Hospitalization
  • Residential placement
  • Detention/court involvement
  • Behavioral health crisis
  • Inabilities to maintain safety
  • Inabilities to care for themselves in age-appropriate ways
Diversion First Services
  • 45-day crisis intervention program to help stabilize children and youth (up to age 22) experiencing a behavioral health crisis
  • Office and community-based services Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Intensive therapy up to 3 sessions per week and care coordination as needed in efforts to prevent hospitalization and maintain safety and stability in the community
  • Linkage to ongoing services in the community
