Community Engagement
The Arlington County Office of the Fire Marshall offers a variety of services. These services include fire prevention code education and making sure your residential buildings and homes are up to code, as well as numerous community events including children, teens, and adults. Fire Safety Education
- School Programs: Firefighters and fire prevention officers visit schools to educate children about fire safety, including "Stop, Drop, and Roll," evacuation plans, and the importance of smoke detectors.Community Presentations: Sessions for community groups, businesses, and residential associations on fire prevention strategies and emergency preparedness.
Fire Station Tours
Open to schools, families, and community groups to give residents a closer look at daily fire department operations, equipment, and firefighting techniques.
CPR and First Aid Training
- Offering lifesaving courses to equip residents with the skills to respond to medical emergencies.
Smoke Alarm Installation Programs
- Collaborating with community organizations to ensure residents, especially vulnerable populations, have working smoke detectors.
Emergency Preparedness Workshops
- Training sessions on how to prepare for and respond to emergencies, including fire, severe weather, or other disasters.
Community Events
