COVID-19 Safety Considerations

The Long Bridge Aquatics and Fitness Center has developed the following guidelines in accordance with considerations mandated and adopted by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), USA Swimming, Arlington County, and the Commonwealth of Virginia as they relate to COVID-19.

No one may enter the facility if:

  • You have a fever, cough or difficulty breathing.
  • You have any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been in contact with someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days.

The following safety protocols are in place inside Long Bridge: 

  • Face coverings must be worn by facility patrons inside the building unless they are working out in the gym or in one of the pool areas. Face coverings don’t have to be worn while showering.
  • All Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center staff will wear face coverings. Lifeguards responding to distressed swimmers are exempt from this requirement.
  • Hand sanitizers, provided throughout the facility, should be used by patrons frequently and before and after coming in contact with surfaces, objects and equipment.
  • All equipment should be cleaned before and after use.
  • Maintain a minimum of 6-feet distance from others.
  • Limit your time on the fitness equipment to 30 minutes; limit your total workout to 60 minutes.
  • Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before and after workouts.
  • All common areas, including restrooms, will be disinfected at least every two hours and in between swimming practices.
  • Lifeguard stations will be cleaned and disinfected between uses.
  • The entire facility will be deep cleaned nightly.
