Opera Appreciation

For opera lovers and learners, enhance your appreciation of the magnificent art and drama of opera. Volunteer George Cecchetti will set the stage for each opera, providing the story line, composer and other interesting background. Musical selections from well-known operas will be played, professional commentary provided, and group discussion will follow. 3/13: La Clemenza Di Tito by Mozart; 3/20: Ariadne auf Naxos by Richard Strauss; 4/3: The Maid of Orleans by Tchaikovsky; 4/17: Falstaff by Verdi; 5/1: Carmen by Bizet; 5/15: Lucrezia Borgia by Donizetti.
