July 8 Storm Update

Arlington Parks and Recreation sustained considerable damage in July’s storm. Here is the status of our repair work.

• All of the picnic shelters, volleyball courts and playgrounds are open.
• The restrooms at Bon Air remain closed indefinitely.
• County contractors have removed bridges that were destroyed by the storm, including the bridges at 38th St. N. and N. Chesterfield Street, Bon Air, Lubber Run, Glencarlyn and Gulf Branch. The 38th St. N. and N.  Chesterbrook Street bridge has been replaced. Repairs will be considered as part of the CIP process.
