Construction Update

Repair work at the Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center (LBAFC) is well underway with construction staging at the 50-meter pool being near completion. The scaffolding is built on a rolling track system to allow for efficient transition from one phase of work to the next. Currently, crews are working in the Phase 1 area which is the shallow end of the pool (see updated graphic below).

Repair Work at LBAFC

In January, the Department of Parks and Recreation shared that the LBAFC will operate on an adjusted schedule while necessary repairs in the 50-meter and leisure pool areas are addressed. All maintenance work and costs are being handled by the LBAFC's building contractor and repairs are estimated to be complete by summer 2024. While work has commenced in the 50-meter pool area, the leisure pool will operate as normal until repairs begin in early April. Details of this schedule will be shared at a later date. Read the full announcement here.

Status of LBAFC Operations and Programming

The LBAFC remains open with an adjusted schedule that closes the 50-meter pool by 8 p.m. Hours for the leisure pool, fitness center, and spa remain the same.

Programming continues on an adjusted schedule. Spring Enjoy and 55+ classes will still feature swim programs but with a reduced number of sessions. Be the first to know about offerings by signing up for Enjoy and 55+ updates.
