Family Art Lab at Home – Art To Go Boxes

Get everything you need to create fun family memories in one box!

Family Art Lab at Home – Art To Go boxes provide all of the supplies you need to create fun paintings in your own home, on your own time. Create beautiful works of art you can display year after year. Your family will have the option to follow along with the step by step video, or with the written instructions.

Cost: $20 per box.

Registration only needs to be filled out for one family member (each registration contains supplies for 4 paintings).

Oct. 2024: Britto Romero, To Dream (Heart)

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, Family Art Lab is offering this fun paint along opportunity! Register for your Britto Romero Box today and paint along to create your own artwork inspired by his To Dream (Heart) image! Boxes will be available for pick up at the front desk at Fairlington Community Center from 8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Oct. 14-18. Staff will contact you with more information before pick up.

Oct. 2024: Halloween Paint Along

Register for your Halloween Paint along box and get all the supplies your need for 4 people. Boxes will be available for pick up at the front desk at Fairlington Community Center from 8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Oct. 14-18. Staff will contact you with more information before pick up.

Dec. 2024: Winter Paint Along

Cozy up at home and paint along to our Winter Paint along! Register for your Winter Paint along box and get all the supplies your need for 4 people! Boxes will be available for pick up at the front desk at Fairlington Community Center from 8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Dec. 16-20. Staff will contact you with more information before pick up.

Feb. 2025: Alma Thomas, Apollo 12 Splash Down

Feb art to go box In honor of Black History Month, Family Art Lab is offering this fun paint along opportunity! Register for your Alma Thomas Box today and paint along to create your own artwork inspired by her Apollo 12 Splash Down image! Boxes will be available for pick up at the front desk at Fairlington Community Center from 8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Feb.10-14. Staff will contact you with more information before pick up.

Feb. 2025: Valentine Paint Along

Love is in the air! Register for your Valentine Paint Along Box and get all the supplies your need for 4 people. Boxes will be available for pick up at the front desk at Fairlington Community Center from 8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Feb. 10-14. Staff will contact you with more information before pick up.

March 2025: Georgia O’Keefe, Pink Moon over Water

In honor of Women’s History Month, Family Art Lab is offering this fun paint along opportunity! Register for your Georgia O’Keefe Box today and paint along to create your own artwork inspired by her Pink Moon over Water image. Boxes will be available for pick up at the front desk at Fairlington Community Center from 8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. March 10-14. Staff will contact you with more information before pick up.

May 2025: Yayoi Kusama, A Flower with Nets

In honor of Asian Pacific Heritage Month, Family Art Lab is offering this fun paint along opportunity! Register for your Yayoi Kusama Box today and paint along to create your own artwork inspired by her A Flower with Nets image! Boxes will be available for pick up at the front desk at Fairlington Community Center from 8:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. May 12-16. Staff will contact you with more information before pick up.

Each box contains:

Enough supplies for 4 individual projects
Printed instructions for the project
Information on how to access the instructional video on the web

Boxes will be available for pick up in-person at the Fairlington Community Center front desk Monday – Friday from 8:30 am – 8:30 pm on designated pick up dates.
