Columbia Pike Documentary Project: A Community Walk with Lloyd Wolf
A PAUSE Session created for the We PAUSED! Unbound exhibit’s second installation, “In My Mind’s Eye.”
How do we tell stories of our neighborhood and who tells them? How is your neighborhood documented? Photos from Columbia Pike Documentary Project’s Transitions exhibit are in the We PAUSED! Unbound exhibit’s second installation “In My Mind’s Eye.” In this PAUSE session CPDP project director Lloyd Wolf invites you on a walk through a community he and his team have been documenting–through photos and interviews–for over 15 years–and see it through his eyes.
We meet at the Black History Museum/Columbia Pike Partnership address, 3045 B Columbia Pike, Arlington VA 22204. We will walk West from there, going by Centro on S. George Mason Dr. We'll be walking a couple of miles, though at a leisurely pace.
Transitions and Living Diversity, two photography and oral history books about Columbia Pike will be available for purchase.
