Overview

Arlington County Public Health Division (ACPHD) offers free services for eligible newcomers (refugees, SIVs, parolees, and asylees) living in Arlington.

Screening is by appointment only. Call 703-228-1200 between 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday–Friday.

Eligibility

  • Arlington County resident
  • Must have immigration documentation (I-94, visa, statement of asylum granted, victim of trafficking, or certain parolee documents)
  • Qualifying status granted within past 12 months

Required Documents

  • Proof of address
  • I-94 form, visa, or other immigration documents verifying eligible immigration status

Uniting for Ukraine

The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) established Uniting for Ukraine (U4U) to support Ukrainians displaced by the current conflict.

One of the requirements for U4U beneficiaries is to complete medical screening for TB and to get a TB blood test (IGRA) within 90 days of arrival.

Process for Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans, and Venezuelans

The United States has announced processes through which nationals of Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela, and their immediate family members, may request to come to the U.S. All beneficiaries two years of age or older must complete a medical screening for TB, including an IGRA test, within 90 days of arrival in the U.S. While not required, a screening and TST test are encouraged for children younger than two years old.
