In October-November 2019, Housing Arlington hosted three virtual dialogues about the intersection of housing with other community-wide issues: economics, the environment, and equity.
How do the economics of development intersect with housing? What resources and tools are used by the County to address housing affordability? As a community, should we do more? What happens if we do nothing?
Panelists:
How do environmental issues intersect with housing? How are the impacts of housing considered, such as tree canopy, stormwater, climate change, and traffic? How are other cities and counties approaching these issues?
What is “equity”? What does it mean for housing? Are Arlington neighborhoods equitable? How does the County approach social issues in housing policy?
