Lockwood/Elmwood Housing: Invasive Plant Removal

Next date: Wednesday, October 16, 2024 | 09:30 AM to 11:30 AM

As part of NVBA's Stretch Our Parks Initiative, we are working with management of Lockwood/Elmwood senior housing complex in Arlington to remove invasive plants and vines on the property. Partners include the Arlington Regional Master Naturalists (ARMN) and the Tree Stewards of Arlington and Alexandria.

ARMN members can get service hours when working on the Lockwood property (not Elmwood), so should specify they are ARMN to be properly assigned.

For each session, we will meet at 9:20 am in the parking lot at Upton Hill Regional Park, 6060 Wilson Blvd, Arlington VA 22205. The group will walk immediately next door to the site. Wear closed-toed shoes, long pants, sunscreen, and bring drinking water. We will have tools, gloves, and insect repellant.

Ready to commit? Register here so they know to expect you and can communicate with you if they need to cancel.

If you are part of a group seeking credit on your Stormwater Utility fee, please bring this form with you, to submit with your application.
