Tree Canopy Fund
The Tree Canopy Fund plants trees on private property or offers some funding for the maintenance of existing large canopy trees. Each newly planted tree will have a trunk of about two inches in diameter and eventually grow to a canopy tree. You are eligible to apply to the Tree Canopy Fund if you represent a:
- Homeowner
- Civic and homeowner association
- Community nonprofit organization
- Civic service club
- School-related group
- Ad hoc neighborhood group
- Places of worship
Trees planted through the tree canopy fund are eligible for a credit on your stormwater utility fee.
Applications are available for Spring and Fall planting. Spring applications are typically due in January, and Fall applications are due in June. Find out exact deadlines for the tree canopy fund, and the application process here:
