Potomac Garden consists of six monumental granite slabs of various colors that were hand-worked into multi-faceted forms. Each facet has a different surface treatment, either polished and reflective, or textured and rough. Three of the slabs lie horizontally, providing benches for passers-by. The title, Potomac Garden, refers to the project’s proximity to the Potomac River and the “garden” the artists created out of stone. B. Amore and Woody Dorsey have worked together since 1991 under the name Kokoro Carvers.
