Teen Takeover at Central Library: Calling all middle and high school teens! Bring your friends and take over Central Library with a variety of activities! Saturday, March 15th 7:00-10:00 p.m.

 

Check out the following fun and educational opportunities from Arlington County Police Department for Summer 2025.Open to students who live in or attend school in Arlington. Applications for the following camps close on Sunday, May 4th at 11:59 p.m.

  • Teen Police Academy(10th-12th grade students): Check out this week-long program where you can explore a career in law enforcement. 

  • Forensic Science Experience (Rising 11th and 12th grade students): The ACPD Crime Scene Unit is hosting a week-long immersive program where you can learn new skills and apply them to a simulated crime scene, as well as explore how science and investigation come together to solve crimes. 

  • Arlington First Responder Co-Ed Summer Basketball Camp (Rising 6th-8th grade students): Middle school athletes of all experience levels are invited to improve their basketball skills and connect with local first responders at the inaugural Arlington First Responder Co-Ed Summer Basketball Camp.


DJ Classes: Learn the basic music production skills needed to create your own beats on a computer

Getting Around

iRide SmarTrip Card: Arlington students with a registered iRide can ride ART bus and (some) Metrobus routes for free.

Catch a VRE Train: Passengers 18 and under can ride any Virginia Railway Express (VRE) train for free when accompanied by a fare-paying adult. Children ages 11-18 riding alone will need a valid school, state, or VRE Reduced Fare ID (application is available at www.vre.org).

Teen Health Services

The Teen Health Clinic, part of the County's Department of Human Services, is open to all teens, regardless of where you live, your gender, or your sexual orientation. Services are low- or no-cost, and include free condoms, pregnancy prevention education, testing for pregnancy, STIs, HIV, and more.
