For the week of January 30, there will be several traffic impacts on Columbia Pike by South George Mason Drive from South Taylor Street to South Quincy Street.
The lane closures will be in effect from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Lane closure east and westbound from S. Taylor St. to S. George Mason Dr.
- Lane closure eastbound from S. George Mason Dr. to S. Quincy St
Be alert out for signage on the road to direct traffic flow.
Also, starting on February 6, the eastbound bus stop at Columbia Pike & South Quincy Street will move approximately 100 feet east to accommodate construction traffic.

Two transit stations are open on Columbia Pike as of Monday, January 30 in anticipation of potential upcoming winter weather.
- Columbia Pike westbound & South Dinwiddie Street
- Columbia Pike eastbound & South Four Mile Run Drive
The planned opening for the station at Columbia Pike & South Buchanan Street is delayed due to some damage sustained after the structure was cleared to open.
The temporary bus stop on Columbia Pike eastbound & South Wakefield Street will remain open during construction on Columbia Pike between South Wakefield Street and South Taylor Street for Segment F of the Columbia Pike Multimodal Street Improvements project.

As of last week, Columbia Pike between South Oak Street and South Joyce Street is closed to accommodate construction on the federal project to expand the Arlington National Cemetery and realign Columbia Pike at South Joyce Street.
Traffic Impacts
- All traffic detours through the new South Nash Street and Southgate Road
- The Air Force Memorial bus stop is closed, and a temporary stop is open on Southgate Road
- A pedestrian/bike connector is available on Southgate Road and South Joyce Street
