This property, previously declared a public nuisance by Arlington’s Building Official, is being returned to the custody of the property owner and their contractors for demolition, in compliance with the Notice of Violation issued May 2024. Community members can expect to see an increased presence and activity, including mobilization of demolition equipment and demolition-related site activity.

The 5.52 acre site is located at 1401 Langston Blvd. The site is bordered by George Washington Memorial Parkway (north), North Oak Street (west), Fort Myer Drive (east) and Langston Blvd. (south)., Arlington, VA 22209  View Map

UPDATE (5/31/2024): The property at 1401 Langston Blvd has been declared to be a public nuisance due to its unsafe and unsanitary conditions. Arlington has assumed responsibility to immediately secure the building. This project has not yet proceeded as outlined below.

This project was approved by the County Board on March 24, 2020.

About the Project

The applicant, KBLH, LLC, proposes a major site plan amendment to partially demolish and renovate the existing hotel and construct two new residential buildings.

Additional project details include:

• 334,821 sq. ft. residential building with 151 condominiums units.
