About the Project

Madison Manor renovations are complete!

Check out the new nature-themed playground with loose play elements for kids to create their own spaces. The existing combo-field (i.e. a field where both diamond and rectangular sports can be played) has been renovated with a new backstop, dugouts, spectator seating, irrigation, sod and improved drainage. The Resource Protection Area, a space that helps filter water into our streams, is planted with new trees and shrubs to help protect our natural resources. You’ll also see new native plants with pollinators in the park, as well as a new basketball court, new picnic shelter, new ADA-accessible walkways, and new site furnishings

Past Meetings:

An open house was held during the Madison Manor Neighborhood Picnic on Sunday, June 10. Staff shared final concept design images and answered questions. Participants shared their impressions of the design and provided feedback on park amenities.

Public Meeting #2 was held on April 12, 2018. Staff and Consultant AMT discussed the project scope, items from the community kick-off meeting, project timeline, community engagement process, design layouts/concepts, community feedback, Q & A, and next steps of the project. View meeting minutes here. Meeting images can be viewed in the image gallery.

A playground working group meeting was held on October 21 at the Madison Manor Park Shelter. The meeting focused on playground use, themes and general input on play equipment. Participants shared impressions and feedback on parks they visited in advance of the meeting.

A kick-off meeting for the Madison Manor Park project was held on September 27, 2017. Participants weighed in on three combination field layout options and three options for court and shelter space layout. See the layout options in the image gallery above.  View meeting handout here. Meeting minutes can be viewed here

Public Feedback:

During the Summer of 2017, staff elicited feedback from park users through an online comment box and a chalkboard located at the park. Staff asked the public to tell us what they like and dislike about the current Madison Manor Park. Submitted comments can be viewed here.

At the September 27 meeting, community members commented on the combination field and the court and shelter layout options.
