Long Branch Outfall Repair

The outfall at S Kensington Street and 5th Road South leads to a small stream in the Upper Long Branch watershed, near Long Branch Nature Center. The outfall and stream are eroding, with a headcut continuing to advance upstream. This project will stabilize the outfall and stream, remove invasive plants in the area, and replant the area.

Arts & Industry District

In November 2018, the County Board adopted the Four Mile Run Valley Area Plan (“Plan”).

Lacey Woods Park Renovation

This Parks Maintenance Capital project will renovate the northern portion of Lacey Woods Park.

The Bus Stop and Shelter Program is an ongoing effort aimed at enhancing the quality of Arlington County bus stops, with a specific focus on improving bus stop shelters.

South Highland Street

Installation of new LED Carlyle style street lights on S. Highland Street and S. Ivy Street from 7th St S to 9th St S and on 9th St from Glebe to Walter Reed.

S Manchester St. & 2nd St. S

This beautification project proposes to provide improvements in the vicinity where 2nd St. S dead ends at S Manchester St. and the adjacent woodland area at the far end of APS’s Kenmore MS property.

North Larrimore Street

This intersection improvement project proposes to include the installation of new 5’ sidewalks with 4’ grass utility strips, concrete curb and gutter, stormwater inlets, ADA ramps, curb bump-outs at all four corners, crosswalks, and a proposed rain garden (to be located at the northwest corner of 9th St N and N Larrimore St).
