Notary Public Qualifications

Effective October 19, 2020, the Clerk’s office will resume in-person notary appointments Monday – Friday 8am to 4pm. Please email to confirm that your commission has been received by the Clerk’s office.

Notary Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old
• Live or work in Virginia
• Read and write the English language
• Not have a felony conviction nor ever had a restoration of civil rights
